Discovery of the vineyard followed by a visit to the cellar and tasting. An original and friendly way to discover Alsace wines with family or friends!
The Domaine Schoenheitz has been involved in wine tourism for 20 years and offers different formulas throughout the year for all lovers of Alsace wines. A discovery farm, member of the diVINes d'Alsace and Slow Food 68, the estate has been awarded the "Vignobles et Découvertes", "Cave de Noël", "Alsace Ecotourisme" and "Organic Agriculture" labels.
Every summer, we offer you a walking tour on the slopes of Wihr-au-Val. We take you to the middle of our land to explain the vegetative cycle of the vine, the work of the winegrower and the history of this century-old vineyard.
Meet at 9:30 am at the Domaine Schoenheitz. From there, go to the 15th century Saint Michel ossuary chapel and discover all the charms of this village with a thousand legends. From the top of the Herrenreben, enjoy the breathtaking view of the valley, breathe in the scent of the flora and learn how we work. On the way back to the village, you will see the 19th century church of St. Martin.
At around 11am, return to the cool of the cellar. While following the path of the grapes during the harvest, discover what is hidden behind the words "pneumatic press, stainless steel tank or alcoholic fermentation, ...".
Finally, the tour ends with the tasting of several wines; dry, sweet, sparkling or red, here again, you will be guided to better understand Alsace wines.

Passionnant
Très bon accueil, et bonne organisation. D'autres personnes anglophones ont bénéficié d'une visite avec un salarié d'origine américaine, pendant que notre petit groupe a suivi le propriétaire. Passionné et passionnant, il décrit aussi bien l'histoire de cette cave et du village, que la terre et les crus. A faire sans hésité !
Wonderful Experience
We thoroughly enjoyed our morning at Vins d'Alsace Schoenheitz. Our guide for the day was Rohan, such a knowledgable man. We walked through the beautiful vineyards and were shown the whole bottling process. The wines were delicious! I wish these wines were sold in Australia. I highly recommend the tour!!
