Following the success of the third edition of the Uzès exhibition, the City of Uzès is offering the fourth edition, which will open its doors on May 1, 2025, with more than 110 works on display, including 78 watercolors and around thirty objects from the maritime world.
It is in one of the most beautiful buildings in the city, the Episcopal Palace, also called the "Old Bishopric" , that exceptional exhibitions have been held since 2022, proposed and orchestrated by Marc Stammegna under the aegis of Uzès Exposition, the "culture" label of the city of Uzès.
This year's fourth edition of the Uzès Exposition will feature the Roux dynasty, who were particularly distinguished by their meticulous depictions of ships, ports, and maritime scenes. The Roux family, the first marine portrait painters, offer us a truly valuable account of ships, ports, and maritime life in the 18th and 19th centuries. Their works were essential for understanding the evolution of naval techniques and navigation.
