Enjoy a nature outing in the heart of the Vosges mountains! Discover the source of the Lac Blanc, the Hans castle and the magnificent scenery as you try your hand at hiking.
A walk to discover Lac Blanc
Lac Blanc is a high-altitude lake in the Vosges mountains. It is famous for the Hans rock, topped by a statue of the Virgin Mary, which dominates the lake. During the walk you can admire the snow-covered Vosges landscapes and enjoy the unspoilt surroundings.
Legend has it that a cruel lord once lived in the castle overlooking the rock and terrorised the local population.
Today, ‘Château Hans’ is above all a magnificent vantage point from which to admire Lac Blanc. A statue of the Virgin Mary, perched on Hans Rock, dominates the lake.
