Discover one of Nice’s best kept secrets – the Bellet appellation, on the hilltops above the city, where wine has been made for well over 2,000 years. After a lunch stop in the must-see medieval village of St Paul de Vence, we'll visit a truly unique vineyard that will delight you in its originality.
9/9.30am : Meet at your place of residence and depart for the first estate.
10am : Arrival at our first vineyard, Domaine de la Source. An authentic and totally charming family vineyard, now managed by the next generation and who produce some of the most interesting and highly rated wines in the Bellet appellation. A wander through in the vines and a guided tour, is followed by an exploration of the cellars and the winery where you’ll learn all about making these wines – red, white and rosé - in a relaxed and informal way.
Then we’ll have a tutored tasting of some of the latest vintages and best wines from the cellar. You may even get chance to taste some of Grandma’s home make treats and the estate’s own olive oil...
11.30am : Visit the second vineyard. The Chateau de Bellet, truly the historic heart of the Bellet, has stunning views over the sea and mountains – and itself a fascinating history going back to La Belle Époque and before. We’ll have a guided tour of the grounds where you can appreciate the beauty of the environment and of course taste some of their long-aged wines in the special tasting room.
1.30 pm : Lunch break in the medieval village of Saint-Paul de Vence, where you will have time to visit its ancient, narrow streets filled with some of the best art and modern art galleries to be found anywhere.

5.30pm : Drop-off at your place of residence.

The best time!
We did the private wine tour with lunch in St. Paul-de-Vence. Peter was amazing. The three wineries we went to were so small and quaint and the wines were so unique and different. Peter knew so much and answered all the questions I asked him and it was a lot. I would highly recommend.

Great Day in Bellet!
Peter was exceptional! My husband and I went on a day out in Provence with Azur a few days before this one, so he set up a great day in Bellet, which is on the far East side of Provence, right outside of Nice. This region is up on a hilltop and has amazing views! We went to two family wineries, another that is a bit larger and a lunch/shop stop in Cote-St-Paul, which is a charming village. Both of our days with Azur Wine Tours were unbelievable experiences, and we highly recommend them!!
