Just 20 minutes from downtown Reims, in the heart of the vineyard, Maison Canard-Duchêne offers you a surprising visit and invites you to discover part of its 6 km of cellars. Canard-Duchêne combines a unique origin, history, and style. Conclude with a tasting of the Léonie and P181 cuvées.
This visit allows you to explore part of the six kilometers of the Maison's cellars and discover the main stages of our champagne-making process. Weather permitting, a guided tour of the vineyard will complement your visit.
You will then taste two flutes of champagne: the Cuvée Léonie Brut and the organic P181.
A tribute to the co-founder of the Maison, the Léonie Champagne is crafted in a fresh and gourmet style, emphasizing the finesse and elegance of Pinot Noir. This wine uniquely combines current year wines with a perpetual reserve made from previous blends, providing both an unchanging style and aromatic depth.
Inspired by the surrounding nature, Canard-Duchêne was the first Grande Maison to produce an organic Champagne as early as 2009. The P181 cuvée is named after the plot (cadastral ZE 181) from which it is partially sourced. This 9-hectare Maison vineyard located in Verneuil is cultivated with special care and certified organic. Composed of the three grape varieties, including Chardonnays vinified in barrels, this Champagne brings together freshness, complexity, and structure. Its Extra-Brut dosage reveals the purity of the fruit and its full aromatic potential.
