Valéry POIROT, star gazer, offers you a guided walk under the starry sky. He will reveal the sky to you and help you discover the beauties of the universe through direct observation and the use of professional instruments. You'll learn about the stars, planets, nebulae and galaxies. In addition to these discoveries, there's another way of reading the sky: the legends and myths of the night, which Valéry will tell you about with passion.

 

Activity programme

 

After a short walk, you'll be immersed in an extraordinary panorama where the stars, nebulae and constellations will hold no secrets for you. Your enthusiastic guide will tell you legends and explain the mysteries of the stars.

 

To make sure your evening goes as smoothly as possible, here are the details of the activity:

➤ Departure: 8.30pm (July) / 9pm (August) - Meet at the La Bresse swimming pool car park, departure for the heights of La Bresse or Gérardmer.

Arrival at the observation site: 22:00 - Once there, discover the constellations and planets visible thanks to the detailed explanations of the star gazer.

Return: 23:30 - Return to the La Bresse swimming pool car park.

You will discover

During this activity, you will learn to recognise the main constellations and planets visible to the naked eye or through a telescope. Your guide will also explain some fascinating astronomical phenomena:

Star legends handed down by the ancients, such as Orion, the Great Bear, and many more.The evening will be an opportunity to take time out to observe as a group, talk about the universe and enjoy a collective experience under the starry sky.

 

Practical information


If the weather conditions are unfavourable, the guide may have to adapt the route for the safety and comfort of the participants.

Private transfer or public transport from Colmar and Gérardmer stations available as an option.

Starting conditions and prices :

A minimum of 6 participants is required for the outings.

If the number of participants is less than 6, the organiser can group several people together in order to guarantee the departure and optimise the costs associated with logistics, transport and organisation.

The outing can be privatised on request. The basic price is €150 for a group of up to 6 people, plus €25 per adult, €20 per teenager and €15 per additional child.

There is a 10% discount for groups of 9 or more.
