➤ 1:40 p.m. Departure from the hotel towards the Col du Bonhomme to head towards the Rossberg which is an old thatched cottage located at an altitude of 1130 m, on the Vosges ridge line,

➤ 2:00 p.m. We will start the walk during the day and finish it at night. We will pass through a splendid wild-looking beech-fir forest and then we will go to the ridges to admire the splendid panoramic view of the Meurthe and Béhine valleys while enjoying the sunset (end of the walk around 6:00 p.m.).

➤ According to a legend, the legendary Saint Dié arrived exhausted 100 m from the stubble and decided to make a spring gush there to rest. He then fell asleep and prayed to the Lord, but hunger pushed him to have two crows bring him food. Finally, he decided to throw his hammer-axe which would end up in the Kemberg massif, where he would found his first monastery.

➤ 10:30 a.m. On the program: a varied itinerary to discover two famous lakes in the Vosges.Lac Noir (950 m) occupies a particularly harsh site mixing rocks and dark pine forests. The power station on the shores of Lac Noir was built in 1930. It is the first and only pumped/turbine energy transfer station.Indeed, Lac Noir and Lac Blanc, separated by a 120 m drop, are connected by a penstock that produces electricity by turbines, alternating with recharging, by pumping.We invite you to enjoy a picnic meal organized by us near the magnificent Lac des Pins (end of the walk around 4:30 p.m.).

➤ Les Chaumes, a real mountain pasture in the Vosges massif, exploited since the Middle Ages to establish Vosges cow breeds there during the summer season to make the famous Munster cheese.

➤ 9:00 a.m. Departure from the Les Remparts hotel for a visit to Ribeauvillé and discover its 3 castles (Saint-Ulrich, Ribeaupierre and Girsberg) which present a remarkable vision of what a fortified castle was like in the Middle Ages.

In addition to the remains of the fortifications of the cities, the castles are other witnesses of medieval life in Alsace, they have been able to cross the centuries, while nevertheless undergoing the vicissitudes of history, which gives them a real power of fascination today!

➤ 12:30 Picnic lunch inside the Girsberg castle, witness to the power of the lords of Ribeaupierre and once allowing to control the strategic road linking the plain of Alsace to the upper valley of LièpvreYou will discover

It is located in Le Bonhomme, in the Alsatian Vosges, at the start of the ski slopes of the Lac Blanc resort and near the Route du Crêtes. It is located at the Col du Calvaire coming from Orbey, with a magnificent view of the lake.

➤ 9:45 p.m. Briefing from your professional mountain guide on the content of your outing and distribution of equipment (snowshoes and poles, etc.) at the Col du Calvaire at the Lac Blanc Station

➤ 10:00 p.m. Departure from the inn towards the Gazon du Faing, a fairly easy route with superb panoramic views of the Lac Blanc and the Vallée Blanche. We will head towards the ridges, then go to the source of Lac Blanc. We will have a snack at the "Hans castle", a viewpoint of the deepest lake in the Vosges mountains. To end our escapade, we will cross a magnificent fir forest and descend with torches to the starting point.

➤ 12:00 a.m. Lunch from the festive bag prepared by us in the heart of nature on the Lac Blanc viewpoint. For your safety and to ensure that getting together remains a pleasure, we offer individual dishes, prepared by us, to be enjoyed in the heart of the Mountain. ➤ 4:00 p.m. Departure from the inn towards the Gazon du Faing, a fairly easy route with superb panoramic views of the Lac Blanc and the Vallée Blanche.We will head towards the ridges, then we will go to the source of Lac Blanc. We will have a snack on the "Hans castle", a viewpoint of the deepest lake in the Vosges mountains.

We will watch a magnificent sunset over the Vosges mountains to end the year in style!To end our escapade, we will cross a magnificent fir forest and descend with torches to the starting point (end of the walk around 6:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.).

➤ The Lac Blanc dominated by a fortress-shaped rock called the "Hans castle". Legend has it that a cruel lord lived in the castle that once overlooked the rock and terrorized the population. Today, the "Hans castle" is above all a magnificent viewpoint from which to admire the Lac Blanc. A statue of the Virgin, perched on the Hans rock, dominates the lake.

➤ 10:00 a.m.: Departure for a beautiful varied itinerary, to discover the Tête des Faux, the Duchesne cemetery and the various traces left by the two wars. We will leave from the Col du Calvaire to head towards the Tête des Faux, from where we will have a breathtaking view of the surrounding valleys.We will discover the different cemeteries that remain witnesses to the massacres during the two wars. We will briefly discuss the local history (end of the stay around 12:30 p.m.).

➤ During the Great War, the Tête des Faux became famous in particular because of the German attack launched on Christmas Eve 1914 to reconquer the summit. Until the end of the war, the entire sector was massively fortified. Some of these remains are still visible on the site today.

➤ The Missheimle reserve is undoubtedly the natural area that contains the most diverse flora in the Vosges massif.
