Embark on a 100% summery day and discover what makes the identity of the Arcachon bay: its oysters and the famous Pilat dune.
1.55 pm: meet in front of the Cité du Vin (Wine Museum). Your guide will welcome you and explain the day's programme.
2pm: departure.
We will start with a stop in Gujan-Mestras, the oyster capital of the Arcachon bay. You will be able to taste oysters, accompanied by a glass of white wine (shrimps/pâté on request). During your tasting, your guide will explain to you how oysters are raised and what are their specificities in the Arcachon basin.
We will then head to the Pilat dune. We will climb the dune on foot (stairs) to discover a breathtaking panorama of Cap Ferret, the mouth of the basin and the Arguin sandbank. Your guide will sharpen your eye for this original ecosystem and the history of the area.
7pm: return to Bordeaux (+/- 15 minutes).

Nous avions réservé l’excursion dans le bassin d’Arcachon et à la dune du Pilat. L’expérience était parfaite et nous recommandons cette visite. Le guide était très professionnel et sympathique et son VAN spacieux et confortable. La dégustation d’huîtres était généreuse et conviviale. La dune est majestueuse et c’est un endroit à ne pas manquer. 5 h pour cette excursion était suffisante.
Super après-midi
On a passé une après midi très agréable avec Emmanuel, guide polyglotte et très sympathique. Il nous a fait découvrir la région et son activité ostréicole ainsi que le magnifique panorama de la dune du pilât.
