Incredible experience - my family and I are amateur wine drinkers and went in completely blind. The Olala team recommended a superb itinerary and Pierre, our host, was incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating. We went to 3 chateaus, had a tour of the village, and a fabulous lunch. Everything was private, which made the entire experience extra special. Even my mom, who does not drink a lot, enjoyed all the sights and appreciated learning about the labor that goes into wine making. Would highly, highly recommend. Easily the highlight of our trip!
"A must" private tour experience of Saint-Emilion & Vineyards.
1. Appreciated the sense of confidence given to us when setting up our private tour. Estelle from the Olala office was detailed and quick to reply to all our questions when making the booking prior to our arrival to Bordeaux. Even when speaking on the phone with her she was to the point, eager to assist and created a good working rapport. 2. Our experience was "outstanding" from the pick-up by our tour guide (Xavier) from our hotel until the end. The tour guide's extensive knowledge of the region but also of the wines (from start to finish) and the drive to & from St. Emilion was perfect. The vineyards visited gave us a welcoming feeling without rushing our visit at all! Lunch spot in St Emilion was perfect. The place was arranged by Estelle (from Olala). It was quaint, friendly & the food was very good (of course and the wine which was paired). 3. We 100% recommend this tour. Since having a lovely tour, meal & drive we immediately reserved for another day a second tour to Medoc with Olala once again !
Well-organised tour with extremely knowledgeable guide
A very much recommended tour by Olala Bordeaux with excellent planning done by the organising team. We had to change the day of our visit on last minute due to my wife's illness and we are extremely grateful that the Olala Bordeaux team handled our request professionally and accommodated our sudden request. On the day of our visit, René (our guide) brought us for a quick tour in Saint-Emilion city, followed by visits to three Château. Throughout the trip, René gave us a full download of wine-related knowledge of the Bordeaux region, including a comparison of the different practices outside Saint-Emilion, which we certainly found very insightful. I'd highly recommend the same tour experience for anyone that is visiting Bordeaux. In fact, I will call René again if I am to visit Bordeaux in the future!
